This presentation provides an overview of the service through images and text. A website aims to advertise your products, reach a larger audience, and tell your customers more about your services.
This tutorial will show you how to use Google Docs to create a brochure. Here are two methods with step-by-step instructions on how to create a brochure with Google Docs. So now, without further ado, let’s get started on the Google Docs brochure-making process.
How To Create a Brochure in Google Docs?
In this post, I will discuss two methods for creating a brochure with Google Docs:
- Create a Two-Page Brochure using a Brochure Template.
- Using Google Docs, create the brochure from scratch.
Please discuss the methods in further detail.
Create A Two-Page Brochure Using a Brochure Template
You can use a pre-designed template for creating brochures. Following are the steps to create a two-page brochure using an existing template:
- Log into your Google Docs account.
- Select File > New > From Template.
- Locate and select the Brochure template.
- Modify the brochure as needed.
- If you want to print the brochure directly, save the file.
You can either open an existing document or create a new blank one in Google Docs using your web browser. Select the From Template option from the New option on the File menu.
Manually search for the Brochure template on the Template Gallery page; you will probably find it under the Work category. Once you find it, you can open and edit it.
Here is a sample brochure design that you can customize based on your needs. A lot of features are available, such as adding or replacing images, editing headings, and main content, customizing fonts and appearances, and more.
The brochure can be downloaded in various formats, including DOCX, PDF, RTF, ODT, EPUB, and more. This brochure can also be published online or printed directly.
Make A Brochure from Scratch in Google Docs
Google Docs allows you to create a brochure from scratch and use a brochure template. To do that, follow these steps:
- Open Google Docs and create a new document.
- Create a brochure-style page setup in Google Docs.
- Set up the layout of the table (for the front cover).
- Create a new page with the same table size and layout (for the inside page).
- Add your own content to your brochure, including images, icons, text, etc.
- Hide the outline of the table.
- The tri-fold brochure can be saved or printed on a duplex printer.
First, create a new document in Google Docs.
You need to set up the page configurations according to the brochure’s specifications. You can do this by going to the File menu and selecting Page Setup. Then, select Landscape as the page orientation and set the margins accordingly.
Finally, you will design your brochure by adding a table. Depending on the type of brochure you are creating, you can also add a custom table size. In order to create a tri-fold brochure, I have added a table with three columns and one row.
Expand the row by selecting and dragging the below line towards the end of the page once the table has been added.
The design and layout of the table should be the same as before on a new page. This is for the inside front cover of the brochure.
Having added a table to both the front and inside pages, you can now begin adding your content to the brochure. You can easily add images, logos, text, drawings, dates, charts, and icons. To make your brochure look more appealing and stylish, you can also play with background color, text color, and font type. Additionally, you can align the content, change the font, format all the content, and do much more with the brochure design.
